About Me…

Hi! I am Lauren, a creative and innovative instructional designer who uses multimedia principles to create engaging learning materials. I can make learning materials such as e-learning programs, and microlearning assets. I have over 15 years of experience working in the field of education. My experiences as director of an after-school program, classroom teacher, and administrator have helped me build various skills that can help other educators.

Personal Statement:

As a former educator, I have always strived to create a safe and supportive learning environment for my students, ensuring their academic and social-emotional needs were met. This experience has instilled in me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field of education. As I embark on my future career as an instructional designer, I am confident that the skills I have acquired, such as the use of the ADDIE model, project management, and data analysis, will enable me to provide valuable instructional support. I am eager to ensure that the instructional content used by educators is equitable and meets the diverse needs of learners, leveraging my unique blend of skills and experiences.

  1. My professional aspiration is to become an educational consultant, offering valuable instructional aid to organizations. My focus is on serving the K-12 sector, with a particular interest in developing innovative programs for elementary schools that enhance instructional practices. By leveraging my research abilities, I aim to gather and analyze data that can aid in assessing instructional practices and enable organizations to identify the optimal course of action.

  2. I am also interested in becoming a curriculum leader, where I can act as a bridge between the administration and teachers. My goal is to assist both parties in guaranteeing that the curriculum and learning resources are fair for all students. It is vital to recognize that each student is unique and has their own way of learning. For this reason, it is crucial to equip teachers with the necessary tools and strategies to cater to these requirements and incorporate them into the provided curriculum. By utilizing design theories like the ADDIE model and my expertise in creating training materials, I can help stakeholders ensure that the resources they use are equitable to their students.
