Future Practices

There have been many innovations in instructional design. Some innovations that I plan to incorporate into my practice are the use of artificial intelligence and microlearning.  Artificial intelligence has evolved over the years and can be a beneficial component of learning.  Artificial intelligence can be used to personalize learning experiences for individuals (Kumar, 2023). Microlearning has been a trend in eLearning that helps prevent cognitive overload. Many individuals are using microlearning for educational courses or training purposes. Microlearning has been used to deliver content in smaller chunks. Microlearning is also based on the learner's needs and covers specific content (Super, 2022). Applying both of these technological trends will help elevate my instructional content. It will allow me to personalize instruction for learners. It will also allow me to provide various learning experiences that will keep learners engaged and create specific content that will benefit learners. These are my goals as an instructional designer.
